Strand – Klippa
I grew up on the west coast of Finland, where the sea and coastline have always held a special place in my heart. Standing by the shore and gazing out at the sea makes me feel free – as if I can roam anywhere in the world and breathe freely. The inspiration behind the “Strand” pattern collection comes from this sense of freedom. The patterns of this collection are named with Swedish coastal and water-related words and places, as Swedish is Finland’s second official language and is spoken widely in the coastal area. In the “Klippa” pattern, watercolor elements are combined with photographed real coastal plants. This pattern is designed for clothing and small home accessories, but also works well in children’s decor, for example.
