Jacquard designs for baby blankets

We have supplied several jacquard designs for baby blankets for Lithuania-based Barker Textiles over the past years. This year again, the KELA maternity package will provide Barker Textile’s high-quality blankets. The maternity package is a famous Finnish innovation that dates back to 1937, and is delivered to all newborn Finns and their families.

This year, the design for the blanket was Jumppapuput, designed by Ammi Lahtinen. These playful rabbits are waiting to be able to play with, warm up, and delight young citizens and their families. Barker Textile’s products are of superb quality, with all seams carefully sewn and finished. The blankets are long-lasting, and they last easily from one generation to another. A perfectly sustainable product!

Ammi’s previous design Päikkärit (Sleeping friends) for Barker Textiles for the 2022 edition of the maternity package is available throughout Finland via Kesko’s e-commerce site every now and then. This design won the Iron Award in the world-famous A Design Award&Competition earlier this year.
