Botanic Impressions – Heartwood

I am interested in depicting time. In the Heartwood patterns, I have depicted the heartwood, the innermost part of the tree trunk, which acts as a supporting structure for the tree. As the tree ages, darker heartwood begins to form. My pattern connects tree structures of different sorts and ages.
