Kevään Aarteet – Kevään aarteet

The Kevään aarteet (“Spring treasures”) pattern family is inspired by the small moments and details of spring. Those times when the light softens and the first truly warm, sunny days arrive. Outdoors, crocuses, scillas, and daffodils begin to bloom, while indoors, new green shoots appear in seedling trays. The patterns capture these seasonal observations – rhythm, color, and the joy of growth.

The signature pattern of the Kevään aarteet collection is based on a photograph I took in May 2023, during Mother’s Day weekend. It was part of my photo project The Collection of Treasures, where I create a seasonal composition of plants found in the garden – one for each season, four times a year. The spring garden offered daffodils, primroses, pennycresses, and scillas.
