“In the Onnenlinnut (“”the Birds of Fortune””) pattern, sweet little birds bring plenty of good luck – each one carrying a four-leaf clover, or even two. These playful, curious, and gentle birds of imagination love to create a soft little nest.
While sketching the birds, I remembered a line from a baby congratulations card: “Everything about you is tiny, except the fortune you brought.” That gave me the idea to draw the clovers. I shaped their leaves with soft curves and hid heart shapes among them – tiny messages of luck, waiting to be discovered on a closer look.”
