Suunnat – Pumpula
The “Suunnat” pattern collection is a series of Scandinavian designs inspired by the rugged landscapes of northern Finland and its bright, yet short summers. The plants stretch toward the sun, absorbing as much light as they can in the short growing season.
“Pumpula” is a traditional folk name for Kullero (Trollius europaeus), which is also the provincial flower of Lapland. It typically blooms around Midsummer in the North, which is why it’s sometimes called the Midsummer Pumpula. This pattern is well-suited for both clothing and home textiles.
