Pattern challenge for designers around the world – 4th edition

Here comes our fourth and last Pattern challenge this year.

This time we challenge designers to find their inner romantics and create a romantic floral pattern for bedding. Creating an easy-to-use floral pattern is not an easy task, but florals are one of the most wanted themes for a bedding pattern. This time we hope to see florals that meet the eye of the adult consumer. You can interpret romantic vibes with a modern or a classical twist.

We have witnessed the new era of dried flowers. I think anyone who has been a teenage girl in the ’80s or ’90s has dried her gift roses and stuck them into an empty wine bottle. Now dried flowers are part of interiors again. On the other hand, new innovations in materials as well as dyeing colors are seeking answers from dried excess food plant parts and ancient color plants that have been used for natural dyeing. This is why dried flowers are our inspiration this time. In the main picture, you can see an inspirational color palette with muted and worn colors, but you are free to experiment with your color palette within the theme and feeling.

The Pattern challenge

With this pattern challenge, we want to spread information about good patterns, especially their designers, as well as those who are not yet on our roster. From the participating works, we will choose the three best designs matching this challenge, and share those and the designer’s details in a blog post and an Instagram Story.
